I am thinking about cutting my hair. I really don't want to, but here is the reason why...
I have been working to grow my hair out for well over a year now (basically for 2 years). Here is a picture of me back when Jamie and I first met:
We actually met a few months after this was taken, but it's the closest thing I have to that time. I was all dressed up for a Christmas party.
Anyway, I digress! Here is a picture now (again a few months old, but you get the idea):
The thing that I don't like about my hair now is that there are some long layers, and it's causing the bottom layer to look really thin. I don't have particularly thick hair to begin with, and with these layers mixed in, it just looks even thinner. I would really prefer to have my hair all one length with the possibility of some long, side swept bangs.
So, I am considering cutting a few inches from the bottom to allow the layers to catch up with the longest part of my hair. I hate to give up the length that I've been growing for so long now, but I don't know of any other way to fix this issue.
Any thoughts, opinions, ideas? Should I just leave it alone?? Cut it?? Does it look like crap?? Honesty is much appreciated!

I don't think it looks like crap at all. That said, there is quite a difference in the first and second pics. I think it looks really wispy in the 2nd pic and I totally get what you're saying. I think a hair cut would be good (that's my vote), but it's not too bad the way it is either. :)
I vote for a haircut! I just got one and I feel so much better with a little bit of a new look. Also, my hair seems to grow faster when I even out the layers - I think it adds strength and stops breakage.
CUT IT!
i love the shorter hair look- shoulder length would be super cute!!!
Thanks ladies! I am going to make an appointment. :-)
I just colored my hair and it feels good. So, I vote to go for it too! Can't wait to see the new do.
I'm getting it done tomorrow, so I will share a pic!
